The Hobbit
A space for play and contact with nature that invites us to awaken the essence of our inner boy and girl. You will be able to fly on the swing, walk on the slack-line or flora rope, climb the crazy ladder, test your balance on the logs and many more adventures. And most incredible of all, you will find a house built with natural materials from the region (guadua, bamboo, mud, grass, horse dung) in the same way that peasants and indigenous people built their homes in the past. It is a warm place that will steal a smile and nurture your desire to return to basics and essentials.
Kitchen - Dining room
In the kitchen and dining room is where the stove that feeds us and unites us remains lit. We consider them as the core of Casa Sumapaz because it is where we lovingly transform food to nourish body, mind and soul, and it is where conversations, meetings and sharing take place that enrich the lives of all visitors.

One of the attractions of Casa Sumapaz is our Aquatic Garden. This space mimics the processes that occur in a healthy aquatic ecosystem. Macrophytes, which are plants that like to spend their lives in water, are responsible for consuming the available nutrients and also provide a favorable habitat for microscopic life. The network of stems, leaves, rhizomes and roots, stones, gravel and sand, are the appropriate environment for the cultivation of a colony of beneficial microorganisms called biofilm where most of the processes that keep the water in balance take place.
We invite you to sit down to meditate and nourish your senses with the stimulating force of living water during your stay in Sumapaz.
The Casa Sumapaz Water Garden has been designed by Paissá, a water and landscaping office with activities in Spain and Colombia.
